Book Synopsis
This page-turner chronicles the author's years of verbal and emotional abuse in corporate America by her manager. When the nightmare of his harassment escalated to slanderous comments about her sexual orientation, her self-confidence shattered and her sales performance plummeted, leading to her termination. Eventually, she fought back when she filed a lawsuit against a multi-billion dollar corporation. Her experience as a plaintiff and, simultaneously, a psychotherapy patient empowered her as it mended her shattered self-confidence. This personal story has universal messages. It teaches employees to recognize nascent harassment and to set boundaries before it escalates. Corporate managers learn that harassment of subordinates is an abuse of power. Senior executives learn that turning a blind eye to managers who abuse their power can be a costly mistake.
